Definitions

The proprietors are defined as J & P Whittell.

Reservations & Payment

Reservations can be made via telephone, letter, or email.

Reservations are subject to written confirmation by the proprietors confirming date of arrival, date of departure, rate, special requirements if any, deposit and balance outstanding.

Acceptance of a reservation is a legally enforceable contract between both parties.

A confirmation of booking will be sent and a 25% deposit should be paid by return, to reach us no later than 7 days from the booking date to secure the reservation.

The balance should be sent to reach us not less than 28 days prior to the date of arrival.

For reservations where the booking date is less than 28 days prior to arrival the full amount is due.

Payment methods accepted are cash, cheque and most major credit/debit cards (American Express cards are not accepted).

Any special requirements must be requested at the time of booking. These will include cot, high chair, pets and disabled access arrangements.

Included in the standard price is provision of bed linen, towels, water, electric, cooking facilities including microwave cooker, fridge, kitchen cutlery and utensils, TV, DVD, cleaning equipment, iron, ironing board and washer. For longer stays the bed linen and towels will be changed weekly.

Use of the swimming pool and leisure facilities can be arranged either at the time of booking or on arrival. There is an additional charge for use of these facilities.

Arrivals & Departures

Arrival times are normally between 3pm and 6pm.

Guests are requested to vacate the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure. The accommodation should be left clean and tidy.

Every effort will be made to facilitate arrival and departures outside the standard hours, but will require prior notification to make any necessary arrangements.

House rules

Accommodation is let and equipped for the number of guests booked. Guests should not exceed the maximum number of persons allowed to stay in the property.

Family and social parties are only by prior agreement with the proprietors.

Please do not allow children to take food and drinks out of the kitchen and dining area.

Pets are restricted to the ground floor of the cottages. Please clean up after your dog.

All cottages are non-smoking.

Excess noise or other nuisance causing disturbance of other guests or neighbours will not be acceptable and may result in termination of the booking without refund.

Guests are required to permit the proprietors access to the property for any reasonable purpose should it be required.

Cancellation

Please advise us in writing as soon as possible should you wish to cancel your reservation.

In the event of a cancellation more than 28 days prior to the arrival date the deposit is non-refundable. Any balances paid other than the deposit will be refunded.

In the event of a cancellation less than 28 days prior to the arrival date no refund will be given unless the accommodation is re-let, in which case any balance paid less the deposit will be refunded. All reasonable effort will be made to re-let the accommodation.

If the accommodation becomes unavailable on the date stated for any reason, any monies paid will be refunded in full, including the deposit. In these circumstances the guests shall have no further claim against the proprietors.

Breakages, damage & complaints

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all aspects of the property remain as advertised, the proprietors accept no liability for items outside their control, for example power cuts or drought.

Guests should bring to the proprietors' attention as soon as possible any breakages or damage for repair or replacement. Guests may be held responsible for reasonable costs in respect of any breakages or damages not due to reasonable wear and tear.

The proprietors do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to guests' baggage and belongings except as a direct consequence of negligence by the proprietors.

All vehicles and contents are left at the owners' risk.

Any complaints should be made to the proprietors immediately so that it can be investigated and any remedial action taken. Requests for compensation will not be considered after departure.

Revision of Terms & Conditions

Terms and conditions are subject to revision by the proprietors without prior notice.
